Demon Fusion Newsletter


Fusion was Demon’s first targeted email newsletter designed to attract new customers and educate its existing customer base about the telecom products and services it provides.

The name Fusion was developed by Kazoom to symbolise Demon’s ability to offer an integrated combination of products to businesses of all sizes.

Kazoom project managed the monthly newsletter from beginning to end, commissioning a variety of content from within the company, as well as using journalists and business experts. We set up a process, whereby we effectively liaised with the marketing and PR teams, as well as legal to ensure the copy was approved within tight deadlines.

The content illustrated how Demon addressed business issues by providing solutions that would enable SMBs to become more productive and smart about how they could utilise telecommunications. There was a strong focus on the benefits Demon's solutions could deliver to customers.

The challenge for Kazoom was to produce an effective communication tool that delivered good ROI, and would help to grow its customer base. We therefore implemented effective tracker ids within the newsletter to see which pages users went to and ensured enquiry forms and contact numbers were prevalent.

The results

Fusion proved an incredibly successful marketing tool: for example, after just one issue, Demon obtained a lead for a £250K contract, which it subsequently won, providing the company with an incredibly good ROI within months.

The email database began with 30,000 and grew year on year by 30%. Open rates were more than 30% and actual ROI was 1:20.
